Cab Screens Husqvarna - Race Report - Pirelli British Masters round 1
3 of our 4 riders were in action this weekend, at The Pirelli British Masters round 1 at Culham in Oxfordshire. Dan and James were racing in the Pro MX1 class and Corey Hockey kicked off his season in the 125cc class.
Dan and James both carried shoulder injuries into the race, with James still trying to recover from a separated shoulder sustained at the Valence International a few weeks back and Dan sustained a similar injury in a midweek practice crash.
Dan had a couple of very good results, finishing 5th and 6th in the two Pro MX1 race, for 5th overall and he sits 4th in the championship. Unfortunately 2 corners from the end of the 2nd and final race, Dan crashed and injured his other shoulder and has a trip to the hospital planned today.
James had a day to forget and after a charge into the top 6 in race 1, bike issues following a crash caused him to retire. Race 2 and another decent start but the pain from James' shoulder was too much and he had to slow for a (still pretty good) 7th place in MX1.
Corey had a really good weekend on the buzzing 125, and scored 3rd, 5th, 2nd and 3rd places for 3rd overall and is 2nd in the Championship.
Well done to all 3 of the guys for putting everything into it, as always.
This weekend coming sees Round 1 of The Maxxis British Championship kick off at Lyng in Norfolk. Dan and James are scheduled to be in action in the MX1 class. Fingers crossed the shoulders are ok!
